This velvety rich shade is based on the 1770s paint colour uncovered at the John Blair House. Home to a prominent family of Virginians, John Blair, Jr. represented Virginia at the Constitutional Convention and, in 1789, was appointed by George Washington to the U.S. Supreme Court.
